Describe the Bug
I encountered an issue with Cursor’s Apply Code functionality. The problem occurs both in chat and composer modes.
When attempting to apply code changes, Cursor generates placeholder statements like:
[Previous sidebar content remains exactly the same]
[Previous script content remains exactly the same until the template section where the el-drawer is replaced]
[Rest of the file remains exactly the same until the style section where the new styles are added]
However, these statements are neither processed nor removed after generation. When I’m prompted to accept or reject the changes, the code shown is completely incorrect - it still contains these placeholder statements instead of the actual code modifications.
Steps to Reproduce
I’m not entirely sure about the exact reproduction steps, but it seems to be related to file length. The issue occurred in a file with approximately 1,500 lines of code. When I tested the same functionality on a shorter file (less than 100 lines), the Apply Code feature worked normally.
Expected Behaviour
This makes the Apply Code feature unusable as it’s not properly implementing the intended changes.
