Issue with Undo, it removes all files that the agent edited/visited

Describe the Bug

After the lastest update on mac, I faced this issue multiple times where I work with the agent to do some updates and then try to do undo then all the files edited or visited by the agent gets deleted completely, and I can’t do a thing about it. Just to tell Cursor to recreate it back.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Try to do some updates using the Agent mode.
  2. Try to do “Restore Checkpoint” while keeping the same files edited open.
  3. You should see the files being deleted.

Expected Behavior

Expected behaviour is just to restore to that point of time.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Hello
I did have the same issue a couple of month ago that happened many times but then it stopped doing it after a cursor update.
this is really annoying when this happens because you can’t trust your IDE anymore.

Exactly!

Hi @alielroby @sgandon thank you for your bug report.

This is an issue with 1.3.0 that is being fixed now, apologies for releasing it with this issue.

You can resolve this in the meantime by redownloading and installing Cursor from our downloads page until we release the bug fix: Downloads | Cursor - The AI Code Editor

Okay, thanks!
