Issues with Cursor Agent in Auto Mode – Changes Not Applying Properly

Hello everyone,

I’m running into some problems with the agent in auto mode. When I ask it to modify files, it responds saying the changes have been made—but I don’t actually see any modifications in the code. I often have to iterate multiple times or manually click “Reapply” to get the changes to show up.

I do have the auto run enabled.

Additionally, the agent sometimes fails to use the “Edit File” feature, returning an error saying it can’t use it.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips or workarounds would be appreciated!

Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)

Version: 1.3.5 (user setup)
VSCode Version: 1.99.3

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

I try to keep the chat short as i know it can get lost easily in longer one’s.
I do 1 chat 1 issue / subject around 5 to 15 questions inside it.
