Simple as that, pretty much this File unsupported on Jupyter notebook . However, just wanted to make this a feature request, not just a post in the forum.
Hoping to allow Cursor editing Jupyter files (.ipynb
) asap!

Seconding this as a feature request. I’m primarily using Cursor to work with Jupyter notebooks and would love to see this fixed/implemented!
Just saw this popup when I tried generating a jupyter notebook. It would be an awesome feature to have!
just signed up to heart this feature request
Changes support in Jupyter notebook would be amazing!
created an user just to upvote this, quick win team, lets get it done
Bumping for ipynb support!
I would love to have this feature!
Waiting for this feature as well!
Also would love to have this feature!
If cursor can also be able to see outputs for cells, that would be cool. Unsure how manually adding that would work and context overflow problems for sure, but yeah.
I’d also really like this
This was the first thing I tried to do in Cursor and ran into this same issue. Ended up finding other features but would have been awesome if this worked from the beginning. Looking forward to this feature!
Jupyter support would be phenomenal. I use jupyter a ton even for non data science work. There’s so many one-time tasks I automate with cursor, or use scrappy scripts for, and I love jupyter as my execution environment for those tasks. Being able to apply code changes as smooth as I can with standard python files would be a game changer for me.
Strongly in favor of prioritizing Jupyter notebook support :).
I would also love to have the “Apply” feature supported for Jupyter notebooks, please, this feature is a game changer and is very missed in my work with data which is 99% of my work.
I would love to have this feature!
IMO supporting notebooks would enable essentially a whole different paradigm for interacting with these models. it would make it easier to bring in non-coders or lite-coders. Think scientists, engineers building processes manually in spreadsheets and the like
Bumping this in case in can get more visibility! We definetely need more support for python notebooks!
