Keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+S hijacked by Cursor

Describe the Bug

When I use Ctrl+Shift+S Cursor will open a new search bar on the left side instead of performing the “Save As…” function.

I’m filing it as a bug, given that is how I perceive it in terms of UX.

I find it extremely annoying that a major shortcut shared across all IDEs is suddenly overwritten by a new feature without any warning or opt-in.

I would like to ask:

  • How can I find and disable the keybinding? In my short search I could not find it in the existing shortcuts
  • Would it be possible that Cursor asks the user before changing keybindings? E.g. via an opt-in pop-up or similar

Steps to Reproduce

Open any file > Ctrl+Shift+S

You will see a new bar on the left instead of the option to save as

Expected Behavior

Simply save as instead of the new behavior

Hey, thanks for the report. We’ll investigate this. And yes, you can remove or change this shortcut in the keybindings settings.
