LAST UPDATE WAS A MESS

After the last update, the composer not works as intend, after some time in co development it is acting as chat, not applying the fixes, just telling , it misses it context, and the code reading is it reads 40 per tool call i think. before the update it works as intended. Please fix this

Hey, how long does your session in Composer last? Will starting a new session fix the problem?

usually i will create new composer session once every thing become slow, usually 3 hrs max, starting new session fix, but same pattern continues, i am spending long time in an instance because, i think that the flow is affected.for example for a project if we start a composer instance then put the context using @filename or @codebase started to work like fixing bugs, improvising ,implementing new things, anything etc…if we change into new instance, that time all same things will be done in a different way, like the taught process to apply a fix or new things will be totally different from, the previous one and the new one. thats why i tend to spend as much as possible in particular instance until my job done, or moving to next set of works. particularly if we use analyze @filename for bug fixing or anything, this update just read the file 40 line if a file have 1200 lines of code , it uses 30 times to completely read the file, at 25th time we are having the system message agent tool calling only 25 times, i should tell it to continue.all these happening at agent mode.

Yea since yesterday or a few days ago cursor seems “dumber” forgot context, do not apply prompt from settings etc

I’ve been saying the same thing, I don’t know what they did.

I think because they are all software engineers, they don’t understand what it’s like to use their product as a person who doesn’t know much about coding.

0.43 is superior – Multiple times Cursor has auto updated to 0.44 and I’ll give it a shot and it will flounder and fumble, then I’ll reinstall 0.43 and it’ll get everything done precisely.

0.44 does edit less code which is good, and it offers a ton of checkouts which is good

but it just can’t see the entire codebase, it can’t understand it.

Cursor isn’t for software engineers, they can already build apps. Cursor is for people who don’t want to or can’t go through the codebase and understand the codebase
