BEHAVIOR :performing_arts:

Cursor cannot open projects or files. I cannot open anything with cursor, and as a result cannot use Cursor to edit any files. In-app terminal works fine. Composer not tried.

When “OPEN FOLDER” (left side-panel) or “OPEN PROECT” (initial startup screen in center) are clicked, Cursor freezes and in Activity Monitor the service “Open and Save Panel Service (Cursor)” shows “Not responding”

ATTEMPTS TO FIX :hammer_and_wrench:

  1. Restarted computer
  2. Force quit and restarted cursor and all related processes

Are you trying to open in SSH?

Could you: after a crash, when you relaunch, please go to the command palette (CMD SHIFT P), and trigger “Capture and Send Debugging Data.” Please let me know here when you have done this!

Not using SSH.

Also, it doesn’t crash. Instead, the buttons in Cursor for “Open Project” stop responding completely. I can still type in terminal and it unfreezes after some time, but still no file navigation or management functionality.

I just now triggered “Capture and Send Debugging Data” but I received no visual confirmation that anything happened.
