I get this error when i trigger a cloud agent from Linear:
Could not access repository [redacted]. The repository may no longer exist, may have been renamed, or your GitHub/GitLab connection may need to be updated. Update your connection in the dashboard.
I have relinked both Linear and Cursor to each other as well as relinking GitHub. The cloud agents work fine when i trigger them via the website or the IDE.
Any help would be great!
Steps to Reproduce
Mention Cursor in a Linear issue, agent starts working, then errors out above.
Hey, thanks for the detailed report. We’ve seen this scenario before: when the agent fails with “Could not access repository” only when launched from Linear, but works fine via web and the IDE, it usually means the Linear integration is still authenticating under an old or different Cursor account that doesn’t have access to the repo. Relink, unfortunately, doesn’t always fully clear the old connection.
One quick question to confirm: did you previously connect this Linear workspace to another Cursor account, or did you switch accounts at some point? That would help confirm the cause.
It looks like we’ll need to clear a stuck link on our side. Can you confirm whether there was a previous account, and if so, share the email of that old account, and I’ll see what we can do. This is a known bug, but this class of issues still happens for now.
