Hey, thanks for the report. The repository is selected in the dashboard, but Linear still shows an error. It looks like a bug where the Linear integration isn’t reading the default repository setting.
A couple of quick checks to help diagnose:
After selecting the repository in the dashboard, did you refresh the Linear page or re-trigger @cursor ?
Which repository is selected in that dropdown?
In Linear settings, does the Cursor integration still show as connected?
Since you’ve already tried disconnecting/reconnecting and Slack/dashboard work, I’ll escalate this to the team.
Hey thanks for the response!
Yes I’ve tried all kinds of troubleshooting:
Refreshing Linear/Cursor
Disconnecting and reconnecting
Setting different repos as the default repo
Different Linear issues
Trying to ping Cursor in Linear after doing the different things listed above
The repo selected is a private repo under my company’s GitHub org.
Yes, in Linear settings the Cursor integration shows as connected.

Interestingly when I specify the repo I get a different error (see screenshot).
Tried disconnecting and reconnecting my GitHub connection and still doesn’t work
Def Cursor bug since background agents work fine through Cursor - The AI Code Editor and Slack (i.e. GitHub connection works fine)
