After updating to version 2.1.25, I lost the ability to work with my project locally. I cannot select chat mode, switch to local mode, or select the models I have chosen.

Steps to Reproduce

Update Cursor to version 2.1.25

Hey, thanks for the report. You’re using a multi-root workspace, and Agent cloud mode isn’t available for this kind of workspace. You can see this in the tooltip: “Disabled in multi-root workspaces.”

However, I see that you can’t switch to local mode because the mouse selection is not available. Still, you can do the following:

  • Press CMD+; - this shortcut switches the agent location for agents

This definitely needs improvement. I hope this workaround helps you switch to local mode.

Thank you! This workaround helped me return to the previous IDE mode. It would have been impossible to figure this out without your hint. This clearly requires intervention in the UI on the part of the developers.
