MAC M2 - Crashing [Resolved]

See attached image of crash modal:
LLM Set to “Default”.

I had just asked the LLM to review the code base.
If I had to rate how often crashing happens, with “1” is less and “10” is more:
I would give it a 7.

Same here, crashing a lot on my M1 Max at unusable point since this week, probably when upgraded to 0.47.8. Thinking on cancel.

I am now crashing without doing anything.
I can open Cursor and do nothing and have a crash occur.

Since reporting the heavy crashing, I tried turning on “Auto mode” (previously YOLO Mode) to see if that would help. It in fact did not help. It was not worse or better.

I’m going to turn off “Indexing” and see if that helps.
I’ll be back to report fi that helped or not.

Turning off Indexing did not help.
(Mac OS Sequoia 15.2.3)

Cursor is on the verge of being unusable.
I now have to write my prompts out in a .txt file, copy/paste them into the prompt window. When I begin typing, cursor crashes 90% of the time upon inputting text. I dumped the index file and reloaded. I’ve turned off indexing, set the LLM to “auto” select, and of course reboot and keep all other apps shut down. I really like Cursor when it’s running. Help!
