What else did you guys change?!

File editing is significantly faster. What took, in 3.7, 20-30 seconds for large file edits is almost instant now.

After the 25 tool call, resume actually works! No more disconnects and having to ask it to continue with the request ID.

And when it does lose connectivity to the model, which does happen periodically, asking it to resume with the request ID shows thinking that makes it clear it picks up the old context and starts over at the right place.

Terribly impressed here! Bravo! My productivity just took a jump.

Claude 4 Sonnet & Opus now in Cursor

Actually I’m fairly certain it is because Sonnet 4 and Opus 4 don’t use the same method of applying edits. Other models use the apply method where it summons another smaller custom model to apply the edits proposed by the model in the way you describe, but I think Sonnet/Opus 4 are directly using a string replacement tool. I’m pretty sure this is also related to another issue that is specific to Sonnet/Opus 4 where the “restore checkpoint” button doesn’t work if the files that were edited were …

it is so good, but I found it so bad creating documentation, 4.1 is the most acurate, never make things up, 3.7 a little bit, 4 is the worst, just kept adding config values and methods that is not exists, even if I add the context and explain, until I used the thinking mode, but I used it to create a complex package with too many files and one code prompt, the result was awesome ( except the documentation )
