Sometimes it’s better to have a long conversation and rely on Cursor context optimization algorithms than to start a new chat and engage in context engineering.

It would be great to have an option to force activation of chat summarization, as is currently done with the Web Search, in order to compress the context when the Chat operator considers it acceptable, and not only then when it gets flooded.

Agreed. I tried to export chat to markdown and let the agent read it, but it tend to be too long a document to read, no help.
