Hello, I often find that the AI autocomplete suggestions are either too early or too late, and that I’m often in the middle of hitting another key while it comes up with a suggestion, and once I hit another key it cancels the suggestion and doesn’t make another suggestion until I type something else.
Sometimes, I think what I want next is super obvious, but the AI has no way of knowing I want that without some action. So then I’m typing something slowly, waiting for the popup and then finally press tab.
I would much rather have a hotkey that manually invokes a completion. Users would be able to choose whether the auto version is still on, I’d personally turn it off, and then manually invoke the completion when I’m done making an edit that clearly demonstrates what I want done to multiple lines.
This workflow would kind of be like an AI enabled text editor macro, where the recording of the macro is much less constrained. Could be an interesting concept that might reveal further direction.
