Hello. I just installed cursor this morning on a new machine and I cannot access the extensions:
The error in output is:
[network] #7: https://marketplace.cursorapi.com/_apis/public/gallery/extensionquery - error POST Failed to fetch
I don’t have any proxies set - and the VS Code marketplace works fine.
I do get a request timeout if I try ping marketplace.cursorapi.com

Hey, is your firewall enabled? Or are you using a VPN? Try switching to a different network, it might help.
Well that was bizarre. No firewall or VPN, but switching to the 2.4 network worked. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Thanks!
For me, changing to a 2.4 GHz network didn’t work. I am still facing this issue, and I can see other users in Reddit commenting the same. VsCode works, but not cursor…
adding context - Today a day after during early the day it worked again, but now THE SAME DAY evening time it stopped working. I did nothing… I am starting to believe is their API is having issue by all the people making requests form the US. I live in Spain which means the morning, all the US was sleeping, but now, 21:30 most of the userbase might be using the product…
Cursor team you must do something about this.
I am facing the same issue. No VPN, or Firewall.
