Describe the request
An MCP client in Cursor Chat would enable external agents to programmatically send messages into an existing conversation or start a new one, using a standardized, authenticated channel.
This would unlock multi‑agent workflows where a background agent can surface analysis, test results, or code review findings directly into the active chat without copy‑paste, reduce context switching, and allow automation to coordinate with the human in the same conversation thread.
It also enables reproducible integrations: CI can post lint/test summaries to the same chat that requested changes, and specialized agents can hand off findings to the primary chat agent with full context.
This improves traceability, accelerates feedback loops, and makes Cursor Chat a central coordination surface rather than a silo.
