MCP in Windows and blank shell

STILL NOT FIXED

Hello Cursor Team,

It has come to my attention that there is a widely recognized issue affecting Windows users when Cursor starts the MCP service. The service opens a command-line window, and closing this window causes Cursor to lose detection of the MCP tool. This problem is particularly evident during startup, when multiple windows appear simultaneously, significantly degrading the user experience.

Given the critical importance of the MCP feature and the large base of Windows users, this issue is causing growing concern among the community. Notably, competitor products have already resolved this problem. Please prioritize a fix as soon as possible to prevent further user attrition.

Thank you for your prompt attention

I have only installed three MCPs so far, and three pop-up windows will appear each time. This is really terrible!

They appear to pay no attention to the user experience on the Windows platform

There are also many already created MCP servers that do not work well in windows by themselves, for example, do not correctly handle paths in the file system

I feel that Windows users are being abandoned, the experience is really bad, we are also annual paying users, but we are getting a different experience, I hope the cursor team can pay attention to this issue
