Using an MCP server that has tool list changed functionality doesn’t seem to work properly.
Using Financial Modeling Prep (FMP) Server | MCP Server | Smithery for example, the MCP has enable_toolset, and toolset_status which shows that the MCP itself did update it’s state to fit the new tools the LLM enabled, yet the actual tools are not updated in Cursor. I’m assuming there’s either cache or the list tools endpoint was not called after the tool list changed.

Configure the provided MCP in Cursor, ask a question related to financial information / company
