Mismatch Between Displayed Version Number and Downloaded Version on Cursor Website

Hi Cursor Team,

I noticed a small issue on the Cursor download page regarding version consistency:

Problem Description

The download page on the official website currently displays the latest version as 0.48, but after downloading and installing, the software version is actually 0.49. It seems like the displayed version number on the website hasn’t been updated to reflect the actual available version.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Visit the Cursor Download Page.
  2. Check the version number displayed on the page (0.48).
  3. Download the software for any platform (e.g., Windows or macOS).
  4. Install and check the version in the application (0.49).

Expected Behavior:

The version displayed on the website matches the version of the downloaded software.

Actual Behavior:

The website shows version 0.48, but the downloaded version is 0.49.

Supporting Evidence:

  • Screenshot of the download page showing version 0.48 (attached below).
  • Confirmation of the installed version as 0.49.

Suggestion:

It would be great if the displayed version on the website could be updated to match the actual downloadable version to avoid confusion for users.

Additional Information:

  • Browser: Chrome
  • Platform: Ubuntu

Thank you for your time and effort! Please let me know if you need any additional information from me.

Best regards,
Yucheng Song
