Model Selectors Not Available - no models displaying in dropdown

Describe the Bug

In the chat window I am unable to see an models to select. It shows Auto and when i click it just shows Search models

Steps to Reproduce

Not sure it only happens on my desktop its not happening on my macbook. Ive tried closing, shutting down, removing the application and redownloading. This has been like this for a few days.

Expected Behavior

I should be able to click and select a different model. Right now no model is displaying in the dropdown.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report. Since this only happens on your desktop Mac and reinstalling didn’t help, it’s likely a corrupted cache or settings file (reinstalling doesn’t remove your user data folder).

Try the following:

Fully remove Cursor:

  • Windows: %APPDATA%\Cursor\User
  • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Cursor
  • Linux: ~/.config/Cursor

This will remove extensions and settings, so you might want to export your profile first.

If reinstalling doesn’t help:

Check console errors: open DevTools, go to the Console tab, then try clicking the model selector. Please share any red errors.

Let me know what happens after a full reinstall of Cursor.
