In version 0.50.4, the models don’t match the ones on the website. For example, there are 3 versions of Claude Sonnet 3.7 with no clear indication of the differences and how pricing will work for each. One of them says “-max” but isn’t available in the new Max Mode.
The same issue exists for Gemini 2.5 Pro; “gemini-2.5-pro-max” can’t be used in Max Mode, so I’m not sure what that model is.
im pretty sure the models with -max suffix in your cursor’s settings → models are left over from old versions, if you cant remove them, you might have to reinstall cursor or follow guide how to clear it from cache, now you should just select 3.7 sonnet regular or thinking and in chat toggle max mode
Hey, these are old models with the -max suffix that we’ve already removed. You can try deleting them by entering any API key. This will unlock the option to delete any models.
