Feature request for product/service
Cursor IDE
Describe the request
Been using cursor intensely for at least a year. Lots of value, but I’d like more control over summarisation. At least I’d like the ability to review and correct. I recently discovered I can pro-actively kick off summarisation with /summarise, but when I’m working on code I want to be able to focus on getting my job done.
Naturally I need to learn how to use tools like Cursor in the most effective way possible, but ultimately I don’t want the extra cognitive load of keeping track of whether I’ve used up most of my context or not, or thinking about whether to start a new chat or not.
It would make sense to me that if I’m running out of context then I should be presented with summarisation options. At the moment I can’t see what the summary actually is (at least I can’t work out how to). What I’d like is the opportunity to review the summary, and the places from the previous chat that the summaries came from so that I could say, ah no, you’ve got that wrong, or ah, you’ve missed out this really critical bit of context that I think we need to keep going forward, know what I mean?
Many thanks in advance
