Multimode opens multiple tabs + repeats confirmation instead of giving a unified result

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

When Multimode runs, Cursor opens a separate tab for each model and each tab asks for the same confirmation before checking external docs. I have to approve the same thing multiple times, and each model produces its own isolated result. I expected one confirmation for all models and a single combined output instead of fragmented responses.

Steps to Reproduce

Select 3+ models in Multimode.

Ask them to investigate something that requires checking external docs (for example an AWS NLB + LB priority setup).

Cursor opens multiple tabs.

Each tab asks for the same confirmation.

Each tab returns its own independent result instead of a unified output.

Expected Behavior

One confirmation applied across all models.

A single combined result or summary (or at least a primary “Multimode overview” tab) instead of fragmenting everything into separate tabs.

This would make Multimode feel like one coordinated workflow instead of three parallel conversations I need to manage manually.

Operating System

MacOS

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Sometimes - I can sometimes use Cursor

Hey, thanks for the report. I’ll pass this to the engineering team - the behavior with separate tabs and repeated confirmations for each model does look like suboptimal UX.

Your expectation (a single confirmation for all models plus a combined result or an overview tab) makes sense and would improve the Multimode workflow.

I’ll keep you posted on this.

I have the same issue with the latest version, it’s just unusable right now

in addition to this my feature request is to be able to ask a single follow-up question for multiple tabs. For instance, when asking for a simple or common plan, you get three almost identical answers. If you want to ask a follow-up question to get clarification and improve the results, you have to ask the same question repeatedly in all three tabs.

yeees! I find that annoying as well!
