Hi all,
I switched from vs code with copilot to Cursor a few weeks ago, and I’m loving it so far. It’s a way better dev experience.
My feature request is to be able to open multiple composer windows at the same time while running them in agent mode.
I have two other simpler feature requests which is to add more support for other models in agent mode for example o1 mini and gemini thinking and r1. That’s way lower priority for me.
The other request I have is to be able to bundle bug fixes in the composer for fixing them.
I work for a software startup but my side project (building some chess bots and an app to view them play) is where I’m really able to enjoy the full scope of features in the lower stakes environment.
We are thinking about how this could be done, and how it would look in the editor right now, so it could be a bit before you see anything around this, but it does feel like an obvious next step for where the Composer goes!
I suppose perhaps @Duncan-Haywood is specifically asking for the ability to have multiple composers open in the same workspace/window, which would definitely be a great enhancement, but for his sake and the sake of any lurkers in the forums, I think it’s highly worth noting that "running multiple composers in parallel is already very possible—simply open a duplicate workspace in a new window and run another agent in there. I do it all the time. And here’s another guy who ran 10 in parallel as a proof of concept: 10 agents concurrently @ Cursor IDE
I happened to be on the forefront of this in November, now busy with different projects but would love to chat about my potential ideas about implementing multiple agents with separation of concerns. I’ve tried to get in contact with Michael (he is following me on X/twitter) but no luck yet.

Could I have a quick chat with someone from Cursor?
Hey, thanks for your enthusiasm in building your idea!
Unfortunately, we won’t be able to provide you any support with this at the moment, but feel free to share with users on the forum about what you are building, and submit any feature suggestions you have here too!
