To the Cursor Team,
I am writing to inform you that my entire team and I have cancelled our Ultra subscriptions.
We have moved our workflow to another IDE that prioritizes stability over hype.
The reason is simple: systematic negligence of bug reports.
For a “Pro” tool priced at $200/mo, we expect a professional level of stability. Instead, we see a team obsessed with shipping new features while critical bugs introduced by your own updates are completely ignored.
I have submitted numerous detailed bug reports. NOT A SINGLE ONE has been fixed.
It is impossible to work efficiently when we have to fight the tool rather than use it. Here is just a fraction of the issues I reported that remain broken:
-
Chat Management: There is still no way to delete all chats at once.
-
UX/Focus Issues: Keyboard navigation buttons constantly lose focus on the chat window, breaking the workflow.
-
Model Switching: Changing the model does not work correctly when switching between operation modes.
-
Plan Mode: This is practically unusable as it constantly loses context.
-
UI Indicators: There is no visual indication of the model’s status (thinking vs. non-thinking/standard).
-
Summarization: Chat re-summarization is non-functional.
-
Copy/Paste: Copying text from the chat frequently includes garbage characters and formatting artifacts.
-
Code Integrity: The editor randomly inserts empty lines into the code without being requested.
-
Model Navigation: There is no proper navigation or organized selection for models.
We are tired of being unpaid beta testers for a premium product. Until you stop chasing features and start fixing what is broken, you have lost us as customers.
Stability is a feature. You currently lack it.
