Cursor IDE had been working fine for 2 days on my mac, but suddenly started showing network error today when trying agent/ask mode. Same can be seen in Network diagnostics.
Here is the error:

I have tried switching http2 to http1, restarting mac, restaring cursor, re-installing cursor, switching network, adding other DNS…but nothing worked.

I see you have already tried most suggested approaches. Please let me know following:
- Was switching network also using a different internet connection?
- Are you using any API key?
- Do you have any MCP configured and running?
We do not have outages at this time and others are using Cursor but I hope we can find the cause and solution for your issue.

- connected to a mobile hotspot which is different internet connection
- Yes using firebase API key - but tried commenting it as well, didn’t work
- No MCP configured
