So I have signed up for a business account to test out Cursor. We have had it now for 2-3 business days and my team and I have a few questions:
-
Is it normal that the software randomly gets stuck on “generating” and goes from taking 10 second to 10 min to complete the second half of the task given? (these are small, single file code change requests). It will spit out part of it.. then sit on generating and then 5-10 min later give me the rest. We have used less than 100 total requests according to the website.
-
If we pay for other AI, like OpenAI/GPT or GROK do we still have to pay the Cursor fee per transaction or are we still subject to being slowed after 500 requests? If you have business there is no feature for increasing the fast transactions other than the “pay per request” model?
-
Among the Cursor community is there an AI model that will yield better code results than the others or is preferred to be used?
-
Is there any downside to changing the AI model from the base one to OpenAI?
-
Are there any other limiting factors or things we should know about Cursor for use in the future? Even in the business environment, would it be more cost effective to downgrade to “pro” plans since the pricing per transction is the same? After seeing what all the “Business” package gives you it doesn’t really seem worth the $20 per seat extra, just a sight bit of convenience in seeing how much everyone is using it in 1 place, or am I missing something??
