Describe the Bug

When generating code the first letter of a line will simply not be there. This seems to happen at random. For example, the first 2 lines will have the first letter cut of but the third wont. This sometimes includes deleting indentation.

Steps to Reproduce

I am doing is using the chat function as intended. So it shouldn’t be to hard to replicate. That being said I am using Windows if that helps. Also I am using claude 3.5 sonnet.

Expected Behavior

Not cut off the first letter of each line.

Same issue.

Same issue for me. (Happened periodically in earlier version(s) too.)

Temporary fix that appears, so far, to work:

ME: “There is a Cursor bug wherein first characters of lines in code blocks are being cut off. Because of that, could you “artificially” add 3 spaces at the beginning of every line and regenerate all above code blocks.

CURSOR: “You’re right, I’ll add 3 spaces to the beginning of each line. Here’s the reformatted code:

And it indeed did that :slightly_smiling_face: (where 3 spaces got converted, in places, to 2 spaces…).
