No longer reading files or offering to apply changes

Hi, I’ve been using Cursor for about a week and have loved it until today. I was using the free version, ran out of credits, and bought the $20/month subscription. In the settings I have GPT-4, cursor fast, and GPT-3.5 Turbo enabled. I’m working with a small React app and have it isolated to its own workspace with no unrelated files.

For some reason I’m having to constantly argue with the AI about whether it can read the files when asking questions. Twice today it’s told me it’s sorry but cannot read files itself, even though I’m currently inside the jsx file in question. So I keep having to copy and paste snippets like I would with ChatGPT, sort of defeating the purpose of using this. It was working fine until this afternoon.

Additionally, when it gives me snippets in code blocks, I’m rarely seeing the button I can usually click to have the AI automatically read my file and insert its suggested changes for me to approve. This means, again, I have to manually copy and paste the snippets into my file like I would with ChatGPT.

Does anyone have any idea what might have caused this or how to fix it? I’ve looked throughout the settings pane but am not seeing anything jump out at me. It feels like it started after upgrading my account to the paid version, which is quite ironic really. I’ve tried quitting and reopening the app, starting new chats, checking that the indexing is synced, all to no avail.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!
