No progress indicator while plan is being created

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

This is more of a UX regression because it used to work quite well in the beginig when you rolled out the ‘Plan’ mode.

Currently, the ‘Build’ button remains active while the content is still being generated.

Steps to Reproduce

Create a plan in ‘Plan’ mode and watch the ‘Build’ button either in the agent pane or the editor.

Expected Behavior

The button should remain inactive until the document is created successfully.

Operating System

MacOS

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the feedback about the UX regression. Can you tell me which version of Cursor you were using when the Build button stayed disabled correctly during plan generation? This’ll help the team figure out when the behavior changed.

Right now the team is working on improving Plan mode - there are a few known issues with the Build button’s state and behavior, so your report will be really helpful.

Unfortunately that was a while ago and I can’t quite pin a useful period. I think 2-3 updates after the feature rollout you got it working. All I can share is that it was working last year Q4 or late Q3. And it was before you introduced the ‘Built’ state for the button.
I’m sorry i can’t be more accurate.
