Note or Scratch pad per-Chat

Feature request for product/service

Cursor IDE

Describe the request

I often have multiple agent conversations running at once, but I get confused about my thoughts on each one as I’m jugging each one.

I would love if there was a “scratch pad / note pad” associated with each chat (or agent) where I can write down my thoughts while the agent is working or thinking. It would allow me to plan ahead and also remind myself of where I wanted to drive the conversation next.

This is different from queueing a message – this is more like writing down / queues concepts for myself instead of being for the agent.

As it stands now, I have to scroll up in chat history and re-contextualize myself and then try to think of all the things I wanted to say to the AI, all across many conversations at once.

Interesting idea. The only workaround right now is to use the prompt area as the scratch pad, and just “cut it” out before writing your prompt to send, then “paste it” back right after.

Good idea for a workaround. Not optimal, of course. What I currently do is keep notes off in a notepad outside of cursor (or a file in the main editor) but this kind of just makes this more confusing because there’s no hard-link.
