I got this popup, but I’m not sure what it actually means. What does “2x Included Usage” mean? Does it mean the included usage pool/quota has doubled?

I have the Pro Plus plan. If the included pool was $400, does this mean it has increased to $800, or does “2x usage” mean something else?

Hey, thanks for the question. There are two different things here that are easy to mix up:

  1. 2x Included Usage is permanent. This doubles the included limit for Cursor first-party models Auto, Composer 2.5, and Cursor Grok 4.5. There’s no end date, and it’s not tied to July 21. Important detail: only the first-party part of the pool is doubled. It does not mean your whole included allowance goes from 400 to 800 for every model. Third-party models like Claude, GPT, and Gemini are not doubled. With the new token-based pricing, included usage is split into a Cursor first-party pool and a third-party pool, and the 2x applies only to the first one.

  2. The 50% discount on Grok 4.5 until July 21 is temporary. This is a separate launch promo only for Grok 4.5. After July 21, token pricing goes back to normal. The permanent 2x pool stays.

The 2x applies to self-serve Pro, Pro+, Ultra, and Teams on the new pricing. Enterprise and old request-based plans are excluded. If you don’t see the boost in the dashboard, check your subscription status. The popup only shows for active plans.
