After the release of Claude Sonnet 4.0, the new version directly replaced the older Claude Sonnet 3.7 model. However, Claude Sonnet 4.0 is actually performing worse in many tasks. Thus, it would be great to still have the option to switch back to Claude Sonnet 3.7 as a much better performing model.

Hi, there was no full replacement.
Claude 4 is better than 3.7 which had big issues for many users.
As with any new model, its important to check how the model is different from previous models and what changes to prompt and usage has to be made.
The difference comes from change in training and alignment which was improved in Claude 4.
If you still prefer to use 3.7 you can enable it in the settings.
