This appears to be a new behavior in recent Cursor versions. If I reopen the app or reload the window, the chat that I was working in disappears, and is supplanted by a blank New Agent window.
I can of course go back to my old chat via the history dropdown, but it’s disconcerting (and poor UI/UX) to not restore context in these situations.
Hi @rsb Thanks for reporting this! We have a bug report open on this and I’ll let you know if anything changes.
Right now it seems like this impacts only chats with substantial turns / context accumulated.
Understanding that it can be jarring to see it disappear.
Hi @kevinn , thanks for clarifying. That’s precisely what I saw; this was with a multi-day chat.
Always a good idea to start a fresh chat when you can!
Keep in mind that you can also fork chats (using the … button in the lower right-hand corner).
