One click and $5 is gone. 4.1 Opus pricing is just ruthless. Just to even know if its better than other models I might have to sell everything I have.

if im not mistaken anthropic just makes it that expensive… unless im wrong in claude code you run out of your usage limit (5 hour window) after 2-3 opus requests as well

If it goes at this pace we won’t be able to afford next models
prices will go down… remember when O1 was published at… I think it was even the same pricing with $75 per Million Output tokens? Now you get their successors for free.

get out of here man. Complaining always get heard and get things done. I’m not stupid to understand its gonna cost, If enough people complain they would eventually get it down.
Nope! I managed to run out of Opus allocation only once! (I’m on Max 200 plan) and that was while I had one Claude Code running loads of sub-agents and the other instance working on something else (large code bases in both cases) & I was having an “advisory” board meeting with few other subagents 
@alex8 Opus is 5x the price of Sonnet. Is it 5x better? Only if you have so complex tasks which Sonnet can not perform.
