Cursor PRO user. Used opus for the first time. created small project using agent, then using cursor IDE to moved it to local machine, at the end asked on IDE prompt to start app processes and open app in browser. But it went on to start processes in loop and never stopped, I tried to open app page and it worked but on IDE it was starting same processes again and again.. felt like it unnecessarily used my subscription limit.. it was past 11:00 pm, just closed IDE, had to go to bed.

This is a known issue. Sometimes the agent can get stuck repeating the same terminal commands. The team is working on better detection for stuck processes.
So we can look into your case, could you share:
- Your Cursor version (Help > About)
- A screenshot of the looping moment
- Which commands were repeating (if you can see them in the terminal)
- The Request ID (Chat context menu > Copy Request ID)
Next time this happens, you can try:
- Stopping the agent with the Stop button
- Closing the terminal that has the stuck process
- Starting a new session with a more specific prompt, like “start the app once and wait for it to be accessible”
