Sometimes the tab compete suggestion is partially correct. However, the options are to accept it entirely or carry on typing. It would be handy to be able to place the cursor part way through the completion suggestion and edit in-place, or accept truncating at that point. So for example, (tab)+(modifier) would drop you into completion editing mode, you navigate to where it went wrong, type, and it offers new completions from there. Or you navigate to the end of where it got it right, press (ctrl)+k and it truncates the completion at that point.

Hi @drdozer ,
Have you seen Partial Accepts
in Cursor Settings
> Features
?
I personally love this functionality!
I just press Ctrl
+ Right arrow
to partially accept the Cursor Tab suggestion.
No, and Iām sure i used that muscle memory. Is it dialed by default?
Hi @drdozer ,
You can enable Partial Accepts by going to:
Cursor Settings
> Features
> Partial Accepts
Then, the next time you get a Cursor Tab suggestion, rather than pressing Tab
, press Ctrl
+ Right arrow
and it will accept the next part of the suggestion (not all of it).
