Bug Description:
Unable to access past chats after upgrading to Cursor 0.49.2. When attempting to open previous chats, they remain in a perpetual “Loading Chat” state.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Upgrade from Cursor 0.48.9 to 0.49.2
- Attempt to open any previous chat from 0.48.9
- See chat gets stuck in “Loading Chat” state
Environment:
Windows 11 23H2, Cursor 0.49.2 (issue occurs) / 0.48.9 (working)
Impact:
This issue prevents me from upgrading to the latest version, as I need access to my previous chats. I had to downgrade back to 0.48.9 to access to my chat history.
Update: When I downgraded it into 0.48.9, It seems that it doesnt follow the system instructions
It seems that it cant access the codebase too
been having a similar issue. Been trying to contact and get help from the team through support and this forum. Absolutely no luck man. Its unfortunate
I’m on 0.49.6 already, and since 0.49.2, it’s still on the same - “Loading Chat”. A few days ago, I sent an email to support with detailed logs, but no response to any of this.
It seems like (10/10 occurrences) every time I restart my laptop, the chats are gone after loading the Cursor.
I have the same issue, I got it after updating to 0.49.6 , still no answer or solution
same issue. Not resolved at all. Its been almost one month with this problem.
I just realized I cannot get my old chats to load either. Saying loading, but then just opens a new chat window.
I’m on 0.49.6
I had the same issue. I tried to downgrade to version 0.48.9, the issue still persists. Looks like it’s a server issue rather than a clien issue.
More importantly, as I haven’t apply the changes in the previous chat, seems that those changes has been lost.
There is still the pycache folder which potentially has the lost changes with the ■■■.cpython-311.pyc files. Is there a way to apply those changes to the codebase?
