When I ctrl+v nothing is being pasted to the chat.
I tried restarted the laptop and reinstall cursor but it is still not solved.
update: it works for my first opened folder but for any new folder I opened ctrl+v just does not work

Same here. Cannot paste into the chat sidebar/window at all.
EDIT: actually, it is being pasted in as a separate file, so it doesn’t show up in the text area itself (see above the text area–it will show what you pasted in).
