Cursor will not allow me to copy and paste my code in the Ai Chat

Describe the Bug

I press Cmd +V and try to add code into the ai chat and every time its added ontop of the chat in a section that does nothing for me.

Steps to Reproduce

CMD+ C code and CMD V into chat

Expected Behavior

its menat to save into the chat so the AI can help me with code.

Operating System

MacOS

Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)

Version: 0.44.8
VSCode Version: 1.93.1

omg this works, do you know how to fix it to be just cmd v?

Same issue on windows. Cursor can not read attached files, and wont let me paste directly into the chat box. When I try to copy and paste into the chat box, Cursor auto attaches it. This is a game changer for me as I am new to coding and need this. I have wasted so much credit through this. Please fix this as it was not happening before.

I really wish there was a setting to change this behavior, so I don’t have to always do ctrl + shift + v

This really should be configurable. I have a clipboard manager bound to cmd+shift+v which means that shortcut doesn’t even make it to Cursor, so I don’t have a way to directly paste into chat.
