Pasting into chat with the a Jupyter notebook not working

Describe the Bug

When I try to copy code from a cell in a notebook file using copy paste shorcuts(cmd+c, cmd+v) in Cursor and paste it into the AI panel to ask a question, the code from the cell doesn’t get copied. Instead, the content I previously copied gets pasted, and a new cell is added with that old content.

Steps to Reproduce

I do not know but occurs everyday.

Expected Behavior

I just want to copy paste my code to the ai panel

Hi,
I left Windsurf because of a bug on the Notebooks, and now Cursor has the same bug since the last update !

When we copy an output from a notebook and want to paste it in the chat, it duplicates the cell of the notebook from where the output was, so it’s impossible to copy the output of a cell in the chat ! So annoying !

Describe the Bug

When using a jupyter notebook in python and the chat on the right of the screen, pasting into the chat just adds a new cell and won’t actually paste.

Steps to Reproduce

I’m using a m3 macbook pro 13 inch with Sequoia 15.5 . Im using o3 as the model and after sometime of chatting and using my notebook, sometimes the paste will stop working. I’m triyng to copy cell output and paste it into the chat. Even if I paste the chat into a search bar to remove formatting and then into that this still occurs. This happens after using the notebook for 1-2 hrs plus and then it starts doing this.

Expected Behavior

Paste into the chat.

No, this should already be fixed in version 1.5.7.

Unfortunately seeing this exact behavior in 1.7.52.

Switching away from a notebook tab fixes this again.
