I got tired of pasting screenshots and writing “the third button on the left”, so I built Pinpoint: a local MCP server plus a Chrome extension. Click an element on your dev site, type what should change, and Cursor gets your comment with the selector, DOM path, computed styles, React/Vue component chain, source-file hint and a cropped screenshot of just that element.
What’s new:
- Native iOS apps: click an element in the iOS Simulator (SwiftUI, UIKit, React Native, Flutter); nothing is added to your app.
- Notes can be about behaviour, not only styling: “disable this until the form is valid” sends the agent into the handlers, state and API calls, not just the CSS.
- Setup writes .cursor/mcp.json for you: git clone, then node pinpoint/bridge/cli.js setup.
It runs only on 127.0.0.1 and is MIT licensed. Feedback is very welcome, especially on how it does with your codebase.
