Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Huh I changed to Gemini 3 Pro and clicked Build on the same plan and now its just been stuck saying “Planning next move” for 10 minutes or so

I also see that the TODO tasks at the bottom of the plan a) include tons of todos from a plan from days ago and b) are duplicated over and over again (the same set of old completed and new). Feature seems generally broken

Hey, thanks for the report. Looks like you hit a known Planner regression in 2.1.x + to-do sync issues:

Try these now:

  • Cmd+Shift+P → Developer: Reload Window, regenerate plan and hit Build
  • Create new chat + new plan, don’t edit old one
  • Save plan to workspace and run from .cursor/plans file: Planning | Cursor Docs
  • Ask agent to “rewrite plan”, then Build
  • Close all active tab sessions, restart Cursor

Please share:

  • Console logs from Help → Toggle Developer Tools during “I need the TODO IDs…” error
  • Does it repeat in new chat with fresh .cursor/plans file?

We’ll link your case to main tracker. Let me know what helps.
