Plan Mode is inefficient

Been using Cursor for a while and love it. In my opinion Plan Mode is crucial for getting from Cursor can help with some things to Cursor is an integral part of my work flow. I have been using it and it is somewhat helpful but in my opinion the biggest problem is that it is not easy to edit the plan either manually or with the agent helping.

When I edit it manually to change some small things the changes are not tracked by the agent it seems and then often reverted later. Trying to edit it through the chat is possible but only if you haven’t edited anything manually first. However this is inefficient because I need to start reading, write a prompt, let it regenerate, and then start reading again.

I would suggest something more in line with the ideas in this article How I Use Claude Code | Boris Tane . The idea being that after the plan is created I can go in and write a bunch of comments directly on the plan and then ask the agent to rewrite it for me.

Absolutely agree. I want a “comment” function as implemented in Antigravity. THis allows me to comment on specific parts in the plan that are wrong. Together with a “rework plan” button that pushes the agent to go through my comments and adjust the plan.
Right now, I only adjust the plan through a new prompt and its harder to explain what I want fixed, then just commenting on the specific parts
