Hey! When you upgrade your plan, your old subscription is automatically canceled, and youâll get a prorated refund for the unused time. In your case, youâll get a refund for the remaining 1 day of the Pro plan.
Please note:
Alternative: if you only need extra credits for one month, you can use on-demand usage without changing your main plan.

Similarly, if I want to âdowngradeâ from a higher paid plan to lower paid plan mid-cycle what happens then? Is âCancelâ and âre-subscribeâ the only option?
thanks!
Hey, yeah, canceling and resubscribing is the only way to switch to a lower plan mid-cycle.
With any plan change (upgrade or downgrade), this happens:
A few things to keep in mind:
If you need details for your specific case (like an annual plan), itâs best to email [email protected] before changing plans. They can explain the exact refund calculation and help with the process.
thank you! what do you mean by âYou get a prorated refund for unused timeâ ?
Is the refund not according to the credit usage? i.e., if I have left $20 of API agent usage but Iâm cancelling it on the 29th day of my monthly billing cycle, what will happen?
For an exact calculation specific to your account, best to email [email protected] - the billing team can break it down precisely.
Hi Dean. I know itâs been a while since this post, but I wanted to follow up because Iâm dealing with this exact situation now.
You mentioned here that any plan change, including a downgrade, would cancel the old subscription and prorate the unused time. Billing just told me that they will not prorate my annual Ultra to Pro downgrade under the current refund policy, and that the earlier guidance reflected goodwill exceptions. I also saw your more recent July 30 confirmation that upgrades are still being prorated.
Has the policy changed specifically for downgrades or annual plans since this post? Just trying to understand what the current rule is. Thanks.
