Describe the request

Hi Cursor Team,

I’ve been using Cursor for nearly two years and have really enjoyed watching it evolve into such a powerful development tool.

One thing I would like to request is full Chinese language support for the Agents Window and other Cursor-specific AI interfaces. While the main editor can be localized through VS Code language packs, the AI workflow remains largely English-only.

I know many Chinese developers who use Cursor daily, and I believe Chinese users represent a meaningful portion of the overall user base. As the Agents Window becomes the center of the development experience, language support there becomes increasingly important.

I sincerely hope the team will give this request careful consideration.

I’ve been waiting about six months for Agents Window to support Chinese so I can finally stop renewing my GPT subscription.

+1 as an Ultra user on Cursor 3.18.25 (macOS).

I installed the official Chinese (Simplified) language pack and set locale to zh-cn (locale.json + argv.json), then fully restarted and switched from Agents Window to the Editor.

Result:

  • VS Code-inherited editor UI can be Chinese
  • Cursor Settings, Agents Window, Chat, and other Cursor-native screens stay English

This mixed UI is confusing. Please add native Simplified Chinese for:

  1. Cursor Settings
  2. Agents Window / Glass
  3. Chat / Agent surfaces
  4. macOS menu bar labels

I also emailed [email protected] about this. Happy to help test translations.

我也是 Ultra 用户。语言包只能翻译编辑器，Cursor Settings / Agents / Chat 仍然是英文。请给 Cursor 自有界面做原生简体中文。

+1 as a Windows user. Please add native Simplified Chinese for the whole Cursor UI.

I already installed the Chinese (Simplified) language pack and set locale to zh-cn. After a full restart:

  • Cursor Settings, Agents Window / Glass, Chat, and other Cursor-native screens stay English
  • Agent / chat icons also have no Simplified Chinese option

This mixed UI is confusing. Language packs are not enough. Please localize Cursor-native surfaces (Settings, Agents/Glass, Chat, and related icons) into Simplified Chinese.

希望 Cursor 自有界面（Settings / Agents / Chat 及图标）提供原生简体中文，不要只靠 VS Code 语言包。

我也投票了。非常需要中文化的支持，这样我的朋友就不会一直问我一些问题了。我发现他们不知道很多实用便捷的功能，就是因为界面还不支持中文。
