Grok 4 Fast is gone in the lastes update, deepsek aswell. Could you maybe spend some of your billions on adding good scaffolding, tool syntax support etc. for more models instead of just removing your unfinished work? No body cares about gpt-5.2 x% increase on some benchmark. Make more cheap / open souce models available, that are usefull for people who don’t want to spend more than the 20$. Mark them as “beta” like you marked composer “Free” in the model section so people dont cry about it until you manage to fix your system prompt and tool schema syntax. Im so close to switching to gemini cli in vs code, even tho its the worst of the Agentic CLI’s its free and doesnt remove features i was used to… Cursor so far is the only good UI integartion of all these new tools, please stop removing parts of it without shipping a good replacement at the same time. Custom modes → Commands was already edgy, but removing cheap models while adding more costly onces is just bs. Thanks for your time, sorry for being so salty, but you guys make it hard not to be. To otehrs rreading this, pelase share if you feel the same, or think this direction is the right thing.

I knew it was possible, just did not know the exact string format for these models. I wish they would show the true name in the settings.
Models are removed because they’re deprecated, the new models have the latest updates and the previous models are redundant.
@jokerfool Lol. I think half of the “models” being just different api paramters for gpt-5 makes this answer even funnier 
These arre not even all of them…
I know that gpt-5, 5.1, 5.1-codex, 5.1codex-mini and 5.2 all need seperate enpoints, but why the hell does reasoning effort create new entries instead of being a setting in the chat menu like MAX mode etc? They spam the model list with fake gpt models while not even exposing the thinking budget parameters for other providers.
I just realized that even though I have my own Grok or xAI API in my system that all the Grok Models are gone but Grok Code - Why? What is the point of this?
I have to manually add them now - it’s got Kimi K2 And Opus 4 (and 4.1, and 4.5 too and 50 versions of ChatGPT) though so I guess we’re all just fine
