I am only interested in code completions and do not care about “premium requests”. However, on Pricing | Cursor - The AI Code Editor you can only subscribe to both at once.
Would it make financial sense to split up the offering for people who only want to subscribe to code completion, i.e., are the costs for the code completion model significantly cheaper than the premium requests?
Unfortunately, Cursor Pro is the lowest subscription we offer and contains all the features that Cursor offers in one simple subscription.
You can subscribe for Cursor Pro, but never use the premium requests that are included immediately.
If cost is a factor, you may choose to subscribe to our sister project, SuperMaven (supermaven.com), although developments to that are slowed as their team merged into Cursor to bring the power of SuperMaven to Cursor’s editor!
Supermaven looks neat. Is the code completion model the same as with cursor?
EDIT: To answer my own question: No, Supermaven uses a different model. It does not support code completion at multiple positions, for example. But it is blazingly fast, so it does not matter too much.
