Pricing... Just some observations

You must be joking how could they possibly control that?
It depends on the user’s expertise, their level of knowledge in programming, and more.

@yakovw & @jrista thank you both for your feedback. We are working on improving this however due to lots of ongoing work on features, models, bugfixes & performance improvements it is not easy to automate this or show all ongoing work in realtime online. We are tracking issues and update users on many forum threads once we have fixes for their specific issues.

what are you talking about, auto-mode has never been “free”. It requires pro which is atleast $20

What you should be asking is why are cursor not transparent enough to show you exact what model in auto-mode is used and when, especially when now counting towards a paid limit.

I know you’re very busy, and it doesn’t seem like you have that many employees.
I suggest sharing the load!

Let’s build together a UI system where users can report bugs.
The Cursor team would only need to mark them (or update a forum moderator about a bug in progress).
We could also mark the issues we already know have been fixed.

In short, I’m suggesting a collaborative system good for you, and good for the customers.

Twenty dollars doesn’t really count as money in this context, and it never occurred to me that anyone expects it to be completely free.

I have an IDE that builds really fast and really well even complex systems. You’ve got to try it…
Or, if there’s no other choice, we could go back to using Wiki systems like before.

@yakovw thank you kindly for your suggestion, we have a team in place that is working on this already and hopefully soon we can show more as well.

Glad to hear that.
I think you need more employees / AI agents…
