Privacy Mode and Codebase Indexing

In the Advanced Settings section of the Codebase Indexing page in the Cursor documentation, it says “By default, Cursor will index all files in your codebase if privacy mode is not enabled.” But my Cursor is 100% indexed even though Privacy Mode is enabled.

It also works fine when I use @Codebase in chat. I don’t really understand the relationship between Privacy Mode and Codebase Indexing.

Thanks for the info, @litecode.

It seems that all files in your codebase are automatically indexed even if privacy mode is on. I understand. I don’t care about that because I’m not concerned about security, but the statement in the documentation that “Cursor will index all files in your codebase if privacy mode is not enabled.” is confusing and should be revised.
